Junk Pet Food for Cats and Dogs.

Hello everyone,

Let us return to the price we pay for supporting the Junk Pet food industry.

According to Dr. Tom Lonsdale who has been on a crusade now for 15 years to bring this truth to light, "Failure of democratic, administrative and legal systems-whether due to oversight, incompetence or corruption-facilitates the junk pet food scam ".

Despite the scientific evidence, and both the moral and ethical problems associated with duping the public into believing that these companies have your pet's best interest at heart, our politicians and lawyers have done little about it.

Take for example the Pet food Recall by Menu Foods. There were over 100 different brands of food pulled from the shelves. These companies were advertising the Pet-Parent relationship, and how your pet is like family. However, when the big class action hit,
the pet-parent relationship seemed to evaporate as the law says that animals are like property. Shall we compare them to a chair?.

As many animal lovers know, their pets are more than property. So why should a company be able to sell a product by saying something to help sell that product, (a catch phrase like we treat your pets like family), and then when something goes wrong, claim that it doesn't exist.

The class action suit for this reason will be interesting to watch as precedent will be set with respect to equating pets with children in considering emotional damages.

I know what I went thru emotionally for months. I remember how I experienced a shift emotionally when I found out that my cat's illness had nothing to do with old age, but everything to do with poisoned food.

The trust is now gone, and until I can feel that I can trust these companies, rather than thinking that I can trust them, I will do everything in my power to create a change. For all who experienced this poisoning, feeling responsible for poisoning your own family pet ranks high in my opinion when it comes to emotional duress.

If these standards and regulations are low for pets, the standards for people's food is probably not much greater.Hmmmmmmmmm.
