The Junk Pet Food Machine
Hello everyone,
Two of the largest chocolate manufacturers Mars and Nestle are on the top of the pet food industry.
I personally do not eat anything from these manufactures due to the perservatives and additives that they use in their products, which have been linked to Liver damage. Their chocolate also contains wax.
Keep in mind that commercial pet foods success in the business world is probably only bettered by petroleum products worldwide. That's scary!.
That puts things into perspective, as we know that cutting corners to make more money is acceptable in these corporate circles, at the expense of the earth, the consumer and our pets.
This brings me back to the Pet Food Recall. It was the toxic cocktail of cyanuric acid and melamine that affected and killed many of our furry friends.
Melamine is a chemical that is used for manufacturing counter tops glue, and fertilizer. Melamine mimics protein. This basically means that melamine like protein spikes high in Nitrogen. It masquerades as a nutrinet but in fact is synthetic.
As a consumer we were therfore buying a food and paying more money for it because we thought that it was high in protein when in fact it was merely a chemical. This chemical is much cheaper than using the real thing, and has adverse affects on the organs of our pets.
It is almost as though we and our pets have become incinerators for our own toxic waste. Or shall I say China's toxic waste, as most of the products that have been recalled from pet food, toothpaste, tires and children's toys are all coming from China.
So, if these companies have no regard for the health of you and your pet why buy them? If these companies have a loop hole for the packaging of products that allows them to say that something is a product of the United States or Canada when infact it actually comes from China or Taiwan, but our goverment allows them to say this because the last precessing of the product is done in the United States or Canada, and also is 51% of the total, that concerns me. To me that smells like fraud and misleading advertising. No doubt that a small business owner following this mandate would be shut down immediately.
Be aware of what you buy, ask questions, and remember you have the Power as a consumer to make changes. How?. By what you buy.
I believe that the old saying "you are what you eat" is simple but true. Well, this is no differnet for our pets.
Have a Healthy and Happy Day!
