Junk Pet Food - Teeth Cleaning
Hello everyone,
Another thought on the cleaning of our pets teeth. According to Dr. Tom Lonsdale in his article in Nexus Nov-Dec 2007, he states that "Periodental disease is arguably the most common disease condition seen in small animal practice and its effects on the gums and teeth can significantly affect the health and well being of affected animals".
This in itself gives rise to concern, and therefore "proof of additional systemic effects is not necessary to justify further action".
As much of a challenge it may be to change our pets diet, the bottom line is if we want our pets to live a happy and healthy life we need to address this as our animals have no choice like we do.
They simply eat what we give them.
To put this into perspective picture products from a fast food establishment being blended and given to our pets when we continue to feed them Pet Junk Food.
If anyone saw the movie Super Size Me where one person consumed McDonalds three times daily for 30 days as an experiment, you would have seen the repurcusions of this by his liver and kidneys being extremely affected, and damaged.
That was only 30 days and his body weight was much greater than our pets.
With this in mind imagine what years of eating Junk Pet Food can do to the body of our pets.
Isn't it time to seitch?.
Have a Healthy and Happy day!
