Pet Food Testing -The Badge of Honesty
Hi everyone,
So, we are expected to trust the FDA with respect to the testing of contaminated shipments of food. However, how can one trust an establishment that has a problem with establishing standards?.
When there is a loophole such as not having to send negative test results if the importers tell the labs not to send them, that to me is omitting the facts. Therefore, how can one trust the findings.
The exixting problem is that there is no regulation that requires labs to send ALL of their tests to the FDA.
This brings us back to the current pet food testing done by Menu Foods. Not only did Menu Foods not publicly disclose their negative test results, they also refused to answer questions from Consumer Affairs.
So I ask you, if a company is not prepared to disclose information, does that make you want to run out and buy their product?.
No thanks!!!
Maybe these Pet Food Companies should consider placing a Badge of Honesty on the wrappers of their products, fully listing all ingredients in their food, so that people can then make a conscious choice.
Then and only then would I reconsider buying their product. Until this happens, I am sticking to pet food that has no gluten, no fillers, and no corn.
Have a Happy and Healthy day!!
Cheryl
