Physical Abnormalities in our Pets

Hi there everyone,

I remember a couple of months ago when I heard about a rabbit with 4 ears on CNN. Instead of questioning why this would occur, everyone was just admiring the rabbit, and saying how cute it was.

I don't know about you, but I look at this as a warning signal for us. I know that we have instances like this in the human population, but why isn't anyone asking Why?.

Today, the latest is a kitten with 2 faces. Two eyes two mouths and
Two noses. In Washington, there is a young cat with 5 legs.

I guess one could ask the question, is it due to Nature, or Nurture?.

I think Genetics do play a part with respect to all disease. However, researchers have also found a strong case with nurture. I would include Food, air, and chemicals such as Pesticides and Herbidicides to mention just a few in this categoy as well. Again the old saying of "you are what you eat" comes into play.

It was only a year ago that there was Melamine and Cyanuric Acid found in commercial pet food. With that being said, doesn't your pet
deserve the best?.

Have a gresat day!

Cheryl
