Smoke Free Pets

Hi there everyone,

Well, as we know the test results with respect to a second hand smoke enviroment have been linked to lung cancer, asthma, and various other diseases putting a burden on our health care system.

Who would have thought that it would also affect your pet.

When you think about it, it really does make sense. Here is a smaller body compared to ours, getting sick with diseases such as
cancer, lung cancer and tumours and diabetes. I am hearing about this more and more. Our furry friends are like sponges that are inhaling the same things we are proving that we are our enviroment, and what we eat. We have one

Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan did blood tests, electrocardiograms and ultra sounds of the heart and blood vessels
on 14 dogs.

In those that lived in smoking homes the left side of the heart was enlarged suggesting they had problems with high blood pressure.

Again, we can learn from the animals. If our animals are getting these diseases what is happening to us. Not only is it slowly killing your pet, it inevitably costs you at the Vets.

The animals are here to serve, proect, love, and teach us as the ancients believed.

All we have to do is listen!

Have a great day,

Cheryl
